LIFE-CHANGING MOMENTS
1978
My impish nature,
curiosity and pioneering spirit is born
curiosity and pioneering spirit is born
How it changed me
I realized at an early age that I liked doing things my way.
1985
Growing up in a poor immigrant neighborhood, I began learning to become self-reliant
How it changed me
Learning self-discipline, hard work and motivation can separate you from others.
1990
I started to become one of the most recognized baseball players in New York
How it changed me
My work ethic showed me that no matter where I came from, I can become anything I want.
2001
A career ending injury took away my baseball dreams of 17 years
How it changed me
I had to stop feeling sorry for myself, rethink my life, pivot my desires and take action by enrolling in graduate school because that’s what society tells us to do.
2003
COMPLETED GRADUATE SCHOOL, FIRST IN CLASS, AND STARTED MY CAREER AS A LITIGTION PSYCHOLOGIST FOR ONE OF THE TOP FIRMS IN THE COUNTRY
How it changed me
I realized that I actually liked school and was a nerd (and an athlete - you can be BOTH) when I found something I was passionate about (Psychology).
2010
Left my career as a litigation psychologist to live in the mountains, travel and volunteer around the world
How it changed me
I saw that my job, title and salary didn’t define who I was and that money alone did NOT make me happy or give me purpose.
2012
My one year sabbatical turned into 3 years, before I found myself back in the litigation industry in NYC
How it changed me
I witnessed how others around the world lived, found fulfillment and purpose. I tried to bring this back to the US, but dozens of rejection letters put me back into litigation.
early 2014
At the top of my career, being groomed to take over a multi-million dollar company, I fell into suicidal depression
How it changed me
I realized no one is safe from depression (even a psychologist) regardless of what you have and do.
late 2014
I COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING THAT TRULY HELPED MY PHYSICAL, MENTAL & EMOTIONAL HEALTH
How it changed me
I became obsessed with the how (neuroscience) and the why (psychology) of our brain’s and committed to beat depression and take my life back.
2016
I got fired by the multi-million dollar company I was taking over and began to find my true purpose.
How it changed me
I saw that living someone else’s dream (society) never works. You can’t find fulfillment in something you don’t believe in and what we’ve been told by society about fulfillment, purpose and happiness is bull$hit.
2017
I founded the Psychology-Fitness™ industry
How it changed me
Combining my background in fitness (30+ years) and psychology (25+) along with the tools and tactics that I created from beating depression and found a way to help high-performers and exposed how the psychology and fitness industries lied to us all.
2020
Covid shuts down the world, so I make a deal with God to make this a multi-million dollar company or die trying
How it changed me
I realized that if we dedicate ourselves fully & truly to something we believe in, God will show up. Not in the way we want, but in the way we need.
2023
PSYFI becomes a global brand with coaches in four cities, over 6,000 participants served and over 98% efficacy
How it changed me
I learned that if I focus on what I can control, be patient, be of service and never quit that success is inevitable and you CAN have a psychologist, personal trainer, breakwork teacher and meditation instructor, all in one.
